The first target on our list was the iconic volcano ride: Journey to the Center of the Earth. Since it was early morning, we managed to get on with only a 20-minute wait! To be honest, this has been my absolute favorite attraction for years.
Surrounded by Joy: Sindbad & Duffy
After our high-speed start, it was time to soak in the atmosphere that only DisneySea can offer.
First, we took my friend on her very first jungle adventure at Indiana Jones® Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull.
Then, we headed to my personal all-time favorite: Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage.
Since I was a little girl, ‘The Adventures of Sindbad’ has been one of my favorite books.
There’s something about the melody of ‘Compass of Your Heart’—the message of following your own path and finding treasure in friendship—that truly cleanses the soul, no matter how many times I hear it.

A Hug from Duffy
No trip to Tokyo DisneySea is complete without a visit to Duffy. We managed to snag a greeting slot, and meeting him was pure bliss!
Getting a photo with that fluffy, smiling face made us feel like kids again. With our hearts full (and our cameras even fuller), we were finally ready for ‘The Big One’…

One great thing about the current park layout is that trash cans are conveniently placed even within the queue lines. Knowing this, we grabbed some snacks before joining the line. Munching on treats while admiring the incredibly detailed, movie-accurate decor made the time fly by.

The 210-Minute Dilemma: Our “Secret Weapon” for the Longest Wait
As evening approached, we faced a brutal choice: Tower of Terror or Soaring: Fantastic Flight? Both were showing a staggering 3.5-hour wait (210 minutes)! At my friend’s recommendation, we decided to brave the wait for my very first flight on Soaring.
However, standing for over 200 minutes is a physical nightmare, no matter how comfy your shoes are.
That’s when my friend pulled out the ‘Secret Weapon’ that saved our legs.
The God-tier Item: Ultra-Lightweight Pocket Chair
If you’re planning to visit Tokyo DisneySea, this is an absolute MUST. We used a pocket-sized, ultra-lightweight folding chair.
Just being able to sit down for a few minutes while the line was stalled made a world of difference in our recovery.
A New Horizon Above the Sea
When we finally boarded Soaring, the experience was beyond anything I had imagined.
Feeling your feet dangle as you glide over the world’s most iconic landmarks was breathtaking.
My friend was worried it might not be my style, but I absolutely loved it!

Night Walks & Photo Ops
After our whirlwind world tour on Soaring, we had some time before our dinner reservation. We decided to spend it simply wandering through the park at night.
Tokyo DisneySea after dark is a different world. From the glowing Mediterranean Harbor to the romantic, gas-lit streets of American Waterfront, every corner felt like a masterpiece. After the 3.5-hour endurance test in line, this slow, quiet stroll was exactly what we needed.
Taking the time to breathe in the atmosphere and capture these illuminated scenes on camera…… perhaps this is the true essence of enjoying Disney as an adult.
Cuteness Overload! A Special Dinner with Duffy & Friends
Finally, it was time for our hard-won reservation! We headed to the restaurant, which had been transformed with limited-time Duffy & Friends decorations.
The moment we stepped inside, all the exhaustion from the day vanished. Everywhere we looked, Duffy and his friends were there to greet us—it was a dream come true for any fan!

After much deliberation, I chose the ‘Duffy Seafood Curry’. When it arrived, I couldn’t help but squeal, ‘So cuuute!💕
There was Duffy’s adorable face right on the plate, looking up at me.
Of course, I couldn’t resist adding the matching dessert and drink set. Beyond the visual appeal, the curry was rich and authentic in flavor—a truly satisfying dinner that fed both my soul and my appetite!
A Last-Minute Miracle: Toy Story Mania!
As closing time approached, with our bellies full and souvenirs in hand, we were ready to call it a day.
But then, a quick check of the app changed everything. ‘Wait, Toy Story Mania! is still accepting riders?!’
It was a race against the clock—from the shops near the entrance to the very back of the park. My friend kindly agreed to my last-minute whim, and we literally dashed through the park. We slid into the queue just in time!
Seeing the Toyville Trolley Park glowing brilliantly against the night sky was so beautiful, it took my breath away.
Adults Playing for Real: The Evolution of Shooting Rides
The ride was more fun than I could have ever imagined. It felt like a dynamic, fully immersive evolution of ‘Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters’ (the classic I remembered from Disneyland).
Despite our exhaustion, the moment the game started, we both went into ‘serious mode,’ competing fiercely for the high score!

As the curtain finally closed on our incredible day at DisneySea, we began our long walk back to the entrance. Glancing up at the windows of Hotel MiraCosta, I noticed guests waving down at us from their rooms.
